x402 vs. traditional payment APIs for agents

A traditional payment API charges a card. The agent, or a person, sends card details or a stored customer id to a processor. The processor authorizes the charge and later settles it in fiat. The merchant needs an account with that processor.

x402 on GotSOL.app charges USDC on Solana. The agent reads an HTTP 402 response, signs one USDC transfer, and retries the same URL with the signature. There is no card number. Settlement is the Solana transaction. The paying wallet pays the network fee.

GotSOL.app incoming payments, including x402, are 0%. Outgoing USDC transfers are 0.25% through December 31, 2027. A card processor's price is that processor's price. This page does not compare a named company's rate.

GotSOL.app is compatible with Solana Pay and with the x402 request shape above. That is not an endorsement by Solana or by any x402 working group. USDC stays in the Solana wallet. Privy holds the keys.
