x402 payments on Solana
x402 is a way for an agent to pay for an HTTP request. GotSOL.app uses it for an exact USDC payment on Solana. The incoming payment is 0%.
- Request the payment URL with no payment header. The response is HTTP 402.
- The body and the PAYMENT-REQUIRED header name the network (Solana mainnet), the asset (USDC), the recipient wallet, and the amount in atomic units.
- The paying wallet builds one TransferChecked for that amount, adds a memo of gotsol.app and the link id, and signs the transaction. That wallet pays the Solana network fee.
- Retry the same URL with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE. Settlement returns a receipt.
A person can pay the same request by scanning the Solana Pay QR. Merchant checkouts live on GotSOLpay, not on this page. See the agent docs.
